Citrus Lane February Box Review

Citrus Lane February Box

There’s no mistaking it now – when Evan sees that cardboard box with the yellow stripe, he definitely knows that it’s for him.

Just before I left for Disney World, Evan’s monthly Citrus Lane box arrived. For the uninitiated, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription box with 4-5 curated products for children catered to their age and stage of development – and there’s often a product thrown in that’s just for Mom. The monthly cost of the box ranges from $21 to $29 based on how long of a subscription you opt in for.

Here’s what Evan got this month:

Oogaa Silicone Divided Plate

Silicone Divided Plate, Oogaa
We love divided plates around these parts (we have a stack of them from Re-Play). This particular plate, though, is a bit of an upgrade. The soft silicone means the plate is a little flexible, but also a little tacky – so it’s easier for little hands to hold on to (helped by the plate’s wide lip) and it doesn’t slide around on Evan’s table when he tries to poke at his food with a fork. It also checks all the parent boxes – dishwasher safe, microwave safe, BPA and PVC free, non-toxic… It’s the best. It even has little animals on it! And the box included a 25% discount code for all Oogaa products. $10.99, oogaa.com

Green Toys Build-a-Sandwich

Build-a-Sandwich, Green Toys
Another Green Toy to add to our collection! This toddler-sized sandwich has all the fixins – bread, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and even a tasty-looking plastic burger. Like all of Green Toys’ products, the sandwich is 100% recycled. Evan got straight to work serving himself some dinner.

This is a toy that’s going to be in heavy rotation. And the nubs on each piece help Evan stack it so the sandwich doesn’t fall apart. $16.99 for two-sandwich set, shop.greentoys.com

Starlight Sailor, Barefoot Books
Evan got straight to work reading this board book with daddy and pointing out the fishes and boats. Evan loves books, so his face always lights up when one appears in his monthly box. And the 15% discount code from Barefoot Books included in the box means we can stock up on even more favorites. $14.99, store.barefootbooks.com

Green Apple Age Defy Hand Cream, Juice Beauty
And now, a little something for mommy. I love this lotion without even using it; it smells just like green apple candy. But a little bit goes a long way, and the cream absorbs right into my skin without feeling sticky or greasy. This little tube has found a permanent home in my purse. $12.00, juicebeauty.com

Thanks, Citrus Lane, for another great box! We’re already looking forward to next month.
