It’s no secret that I love subscription boxes. One of my favorites, hands down, is the Citrus Lane box that arrives for Evan every month. In fact, it was the subscription box that got me addicted to subscription boxes; we’ve been subscribers for well over a year, since Evan was only a few months old. And every month, we love what arrives.
If you haven’t heard of Citrus Lane, here’s the basics. The monthly subscription costs $25 per month and is curated with 4-5 of the best products for a child’s specific age and stage of development. The box is worth at least $25 in retail value (most often much more), and shipping is always free. Subscribers also have access to monthly add-ons at a discounted price. This month, we definitely got our money’s worth.
Organicasaurus Baked Organic Corn Snacks, Good Boy Organics
The first thing Evan saw when he opened the box were the single-serve Organicasaurus Baked Organic Corn Snacks from Good Boy Organics. We received some of Good Boy’s baked potato chips with sea salt a few months ago, and they were really, really yummy. These snacks, which look a lot like dinosaur-shaped Cheetos, are organic and gluten-free. They’re also non-GMO, free of preservatives and trans fats, and are baked instead of fried so they’re a healthier snack option. $3.29 for single-serve package
Stock Pot & Utensil Set, Green Toys
Evan loves all his Green Toys (we’ve gotten an airplane, a racecar and a submarine just from Citrus Lane boxes), so this set will be no different. There’s a similar set available through retail channels that also includes a frying pan, but this set was made exclusively for Citrus Lane. Each piece is made from BPA-free, 100% recycled plastic, and they’re even safe enough to use with real food (although I’m sure we’ll stick to pretend play for now). And Green Toys included a 10% off coupon code for all Citrus Lane subscribers. $12 approximate value
Reusable Snack Bags 2-pack, Bumkins
Our daycare doesn’t even allow disposable snack bags like Ziploc, so these Bumkins snack bags will see immediate use in our snack bag rotation. We toss them in his lunch every day, we toss them in my purse when we’re out running errands – they make it easy to carry small snack portions around without paying extra for the single-serve packages or going through tons of plastic bags that just get thrown out. And we can just throw these in with the rest of our laundry when they need a good wash. Bumkins generously included a 35% off coupon code for all Citrus Lane subscribers in the box as well. $6 for 2-pack
Zoo Plate, Skip Hop
This divided plate from Skip Hop has an elephant on just like his Skip Hop lunch box (another Citrus Lane goodie). The melamine plate has a good heft to it, so it won’t go flying across the dinner table while Evan is trying to pick things up with his fork like lighter plates can. And with the included Citrus Lane subscriber 25% off coupon code from Skip Hop for all purchases over $30, we can buy the other coordinating elephant pieces, or turn Evan’s table into a zoo! $6
Lip Comfort, pūr~lisse
Every Citrus Lane box includes a little something for Mom. This month, it was this petroleum-free lip balm from pūr~lisse. I go through lip balm like crazy in the winter, so this hydrating tube will find a place in my purse or pocket every day until it’s empty. You can also use it under lipstick to keep the color smooth and shiny. And with the 20% off pūr~lisse coupon for Citrus Lane subscribers, you can stock up for the cold, dry months ahead. $16
Four Sets of Address Labels & Free Shipping, Tiny Prints
If you’re like me and haven’t sent out holiday cards yet, this Tiny Prints coupon included in the box should come in handy. You have to spend $99 to get the discount, but that’s easily done between the cards and customized gifts Tiny Prints sells. $28 retail value
If you’re interested in subscribing, Citrus Lane has a great offer right now that runs through the end of the year – $10 off any new subscription. Just use the code TAKETEN when you sign up.
What a great looking box!! The little stock pot is so cute!
I LOVE Skip Hop! Their items are so adorable. Nice to know that Citrus Lane includes such high quality products in their boxes. 😀
My daughter is 4 and she would be all over that stock pot and utensil toy. She is like her momma and can’t have enough toys for her kitchen.
That looks like a nice box of goodies. Do they make them for big kids, too?
Depends on how big. 🙂 Citrus Lane goes up to age 5, but I’ve seen other boxes focused more on crafts and science projects for older kids.
This is adorable! A subscription would make for a great Christmas Present! Thanks for the awesome review!
What a cute mixture of items in the box. I had never heard of them before.
He looks like he enjoys his little goody box. I believe any kid loves getting special things in the mail. I know mine are always eagerly awaiting the UPS and FedEx and mailman with great anticipation.
He’s not complaining in the list about this month’s box. Those are such a fun idea for a surprise each month.
Wow. It actually looks like our November box (down to the Green Toys stockpot, but in pink). We’ve been CL subscribers since Giada was a wee one. Now that she’s 3, though, it seems like they are running out of things to send her. I might switch the subscription to the other little one once she tires of opening the box…
It might very well actually be our November box. My debit card was considered “compromised” by our bank (thanks, Adobe) and reissued, and in between there was a break in our autopay. Also, the mailman left it on our back porch so we just “found” it last week. 🙂 If it *is* November, we’ll have another box to review in about a week. 🙂
I love getting to peek inside the Citrus Lane boxes. We have subscriptions on the boys’ Christmas lists for the grandparents. 🙂
I love getting a package of goodies in the mail. These are really wonderful. Your photos are priceless 🙂
I like that they included a toy (we have their tea set)
What a great box. I love the little pots and pans.
I love products like this! It was always so much fun to get those types of packages when my kids were little- they would have loved the stock pots! What a cute toy for the little ones!
That is a great box. I have never heard of citrus lane, I need to check them out.
I’ve been debating signing up. This box you received looks awesome!
That is such a cute plate! And maybe I need to get the stockpot and utensils for my daughter, because I’m having a hard time keeping her out of drawers and cabinets (I even bought locks for them, but they wouldn’t fit). Like most kids her age, she loves playing with pots, pans, and utensils (i.e. spoons – had to hide the other utensils!).
I’ve been wanting to check them out- thanks for the discount! You guys got some great stuff!!
What a great box, it certainly looks like he enjoyed the box they way he is chowing down in that last photo. 🙂
I should join one of these subscription boxes…I’m always envious.
Looks like an awesome box.
