It would be entirely too easy to write about Target pretty much constantly. Between their crafts and the amount of money I’ve saved using Cartwheel, they’re pretty much my favorite person lately (I don’t know if you heard – corporations are people).

And quite possibly one of the coolest, most fun things they’ve done lately is team up with party planner extraordinaire David Stark for best.party.ever. Here’s how it works:

  1. Follow Target and their best.party.ever. pinboard on Pinterest.
  2. Create a secret Pinterest pinboard of your own and, once they follow you back (which they will), invite Target to contribute to your secret board. (Not sure how to set up a secret board? Learn more here.)
  3. Target will pin a series of questions to your board. Answer them honestly, and then wait.
  4. It may take a couple of days, but Target will begin to pin items to your board based on the answers your provided. Craft ideas, decorations, food, activities… everything you need to plan your own “best.party.ever.”

It’s insanely cool. And here’s the party Target came up with for me – a colorful kid-friendly daytime soirée:

best-party-everThere’s still time for you to get your own party planned by Target. Just follow the instructions above before the end of the day tomorrow – that’s Wednesday, November 27 – and then sit back and wait for the magic to happen.

If you’ve already planned your party with Target, what was your favorite idea? I think the masking tape wall backdrop for photos is genius!
